Dance of the Sea Dragon

by Amanda on February 25th, 2010

Sea dragons possess such an ethereal quality, seeming like they could only exist in an imaginary world, like that from a fairy tale. I’m completely enchanted with these little underwater creatures.

Their courtship ritual takes place in the night as they gracefully mirror each other’s movement. I love the BBC for capturing such incredible footage, that most of us would otherwise not have the opportunity to observe. Life is a series that everyone must watch!

    They’re completely mesmerizing (JLYB).

If you go to YouTube and watch the clip in HD, there’s a point where – no matter how many times I watch it – I can’t help but thinking it’s computer generated. It’s ridiculous!
I love the fact that something can actually exist in the world that continuously tricks my brain into thinking it simply can’t be real because of how beautiful it is.
And really, the whole show has been like that so far… it gets addictive watching each episode just to see the incredible footage they’ve managed to capture.
